One of the housemates at my smaller (cheaper) on-campus residence tested positive for coronavirus. Not a false positive either. That was about eight days ago. All week long, this past week, she has been in isolation in her room. Her meals are brought to her. My room is directly underneath hers, and sound, as you know, travels down in particular. I hear her coughing at all hours. She gets medication so she can sleep, at least, and nursing at the clinic are watching her regularly. They say her condition has stabilized sufficiently so that there is no question of transferring her to hospital, she can be treated here. So we are all going about with facemasks on, sanitizing and all, and maybe this coming week the incubation deal will end its time limit and testing this patient can resume, the better to find out if she is testing negative. Can you test negative even if you still have a cough??
