As I have said in the Mudcat resources, I had the privilege of performing with my wife, daughter, son, and, eventually, son-in-law, for nearly twenty years as a weekend road band, averaging 40-45 weekends a year. We worked regularly and widely, and created some fantastic memories before retiring the group in 1995. Before that, I worked professionally with my brother; after the retirement, Anne (wife) and I began performing as a duo. I enjoy working with other musicians, but there's something really special about family harmony. We still get together once a year for the big Homecoming at the Museum of Appalachia in October, where Anne and I work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, and son & daughter join us for a family show on Saturday.
