"I bought every Beatles record on the morning it came out" - Reminds me of an interview on CBC radio a few years back with a guy who, at 14 years of age, apparently had the first copy of Sgt Pepper in North America. His father had acquired it hot off the press - some kind of business connections - in England, just before flying back to Montreal. As soon as the son got it, he opened up the window of their apartment, mounted the stereo speakers on the window-sill, and blasted the music into the street - the times being what they were ... !
