Hello Fergie.

Great to see these lyrics by my father, (Patrick) Leo Maguire (1903-85), presenter of the Walton Programme and composer of, among many other songs, 'The Gupsy Rover' and 'The Dublin Saunter'. He told me he chose the name - being initially a public servant with Dublin County Council - as the name of an ancestor of ours, a vaudeville artiste in the US in the Nineteenth Century. I've never tracked down THAT Sylvester GAffney.
