The news is indeed depressing, so much so that we hardly watch it any more, and I am careful about which links I click on. We watch a short local bulletin each weekday evening (not shown at the weekend - because nothing local happens at the weekend? who knew?) then the TV is either turned off or tuned to something other than more news.

Like Helen I take pleasure in music, in books, in sewing/quilting/knitting and creating, and in time spent with my husband and friends, and sometimes just in my own company.
