Hello all

I was at a folk club recently and a woman there sang the most harrowing song from the perspective of the wife of a navvy called Bill. It wasn't Alice White, which I love. In it, the woman has a dog called Bendigo that gets shot and the song ended with the words 'In walks Bill'.

I can't find it on google and forgot the name of the person who wrote it. Would you be able to help me?
