In this hot and humid weather, in which I can't neglect my garden tasks, I've taken to not caring whether the hosepipe has been in the sun or not. The initial burst of cold water is a bit of a shock, but it does stop me from perspiring uncontrollably thereafter. I do have to shout a warning to all and sundry that I will be temporarily disrobed, but, sadly, such is my age and stature that it seems that nobody cares...
