I sing a verse that Joe Offer hadn't heard, which I thought I got from an old Dock Reed recording: "God told Nicodemus, I'm gonna sanctify your line"... and I changed the "Death done come here, took my mother and gone," to one I heard elsewhere, "Death done come here, creepin' around my door."
