I am saying that the majority of countries including the USA recognise the Government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legal government of China, acknowledging the Chinese position that there is but one China and Taiwan is part of China.

I don't acknowledge that. The US, in an effort to prevent war and keep China calm shifted the focus of their China policy to mainland China, but they don't acknowledge that Taiwan is part of China.
