Thread Name: req: Poem about the middle class
Subject: Poem about the middle class
I was reminded of this by all the fuss about the Queen's demise.

Many years ago I worked for the council and my boss, Brian Waring, a lovely man who passed away in sad circumstances, gave me a copy of a poem. It may have been his own work but I don't recall him being very poetic so I hope someone here may recognise it.

The Queen link was the line "the doctor and us, and our own dear Queen, we're all middle class" She wasn't of course but poetic license and all that. The other bits I remember are

"He's a belted Earl with a private Gym
And our sister would grant him his every whim
But he wants our brother to marry him
He's upper class"

and

"You may use the toilet but we use the loo
We love you for saying 'cor blimey' and 'coo'
But none of us would marry you
You're working class"

I have Googled to no avail. Any other ideas?
