To me, Stella d'Oro was a bakery near the 238th Street station on the #1 train line in the Bronx, a bakery that filled the nearby streets with wonderful smells that I enjoyed as I took that train to high school and back several hundred times. Their Swiss Fudge cookies were to die for.
