Perhaps the 'crowd' is as many as 7 people who actually read or care about a subject here.
I run into similar problems with British phraseology and especially unfamiliar names or your local events.
I accept these gaps in communication. For example, If I say Betty White at the end of a mass shooting event post, you would not get it, but in America, it is a popular joke that Betty White stands for 'I bet he is white'.

An excellent translator has to take factors into account most of us do not consider. I have done humorous stories about the high jinx that can ensue from poor translation between world leaders. Even Shakespear plots can turn on a mistaken word or idea.

If you asked "Did she take it all down?", your folks know what you are saying. In America we would be confused or having X rated thoughts,
