From "The Readers Digest Children's Songbook"

"Three Little Fishies" is a novelty song that was popularized by Kay Kyser and His Orchestra in 1941, when that band was riding high in popularity as a result of the music-quiz radio program called 'Kay Kyser's Kollege of Musical Knowledge.' The daffy little tune with its baby talk and nonsense words was a jukebox favorite and sold over a million records. The song has been around a long time, but you don't have to dust it off. An amazing number of Children know it and love it."

The song is copyright 1939, words and music by Saxie Dowell.....

This is a great book, also has Cememnt Mixer, Flat Foot Floogee, Hut-Sut Song, John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt, Mairzy Doats, Good Ship Lollipop, and a whole host of other great kids stuff (older kids too!)
