One of my partners has UC. She does amazingly well, and I didn't even know about it until I saw her casually popping some medications from a bottle in her desk. We tend to forget she has it, until she has a bad day and has to stay home.

Any chronic illness is a pain, literally... especially disorders like UC and Crohn's that tend to strike the young and otherwise healthy. Kudos to those who keep on going and doing the best they can!

Matt R, the eye problems are part of what physicians call the extraintestinal manifestations of inflammatory bowel disease (if I read this aright, and you are one who suffers from one of these illnesses). Besides inflammation of the eye, patients can have funny lumpy skin rashes, joint pains, and of course fatigue.
