Mick, Sean Corcoran and I, as the Rakish Paddies, ran the infamous 95 Club on Harcourt Street in Dublin 1966/67, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The address was infamous because of events that had occurred there when it was known as the Green Tureen Restaurant in the early 60s qv. We were students at University College Dublin and already Mick's genius was in evidence. The club attracted names that were to go on to make a huge imprint on the Folk Revival, not only in Ireland, but internationally. I cherish those memories and am honoured to have played with both Sean and Mick, both of whom are now gone from us.
