Interestingly, here's a different recording from the one I'm transcribing with a different intro: link. Here's a transcription of that one, with no attempt to get the lyrical section at the very end, under the assumption it will be materially similar to the other rendition.

JM: Well I'm glad you've qualified that. Yes, this is a little unusual, because if a young man calls on a young lady, a lighted candle is placed on the table between them, and that candle is the -- let's say -- the criterion for the length of the interview, to put it that way. That means to say, by the time the candle burns out he should be gone out, too, the size of the candle varying with the popularity of the young man.
