Subject: RE: BS: Do you do it for pleasure or money?
My husband and I have always played for both, but since re-discovering folk music love comes into it more and more. I spent years in a sequinned top singing disco, and pop and rock and classics, etc.. etc.. and then I heard a tape of Irish, Scottish and Welsh trad. music and song. JOY. I stay up all night learnign songs, I read about them, and sing them at every opportunity. The best thing is that when you sing for love, it shows, and people cry when you sing. Now a few years ago, if someone cried when I sang, I would have thought it was sympathy. Now I understand for the first time how deeply music effects people, becuase it does it to me all the time.

Phew! Bet you wished you hadn't asked. Scarpering before I get any more mawkish. Deni from Devon
