For the record, International Holocaust Remembrance Day is January 27. 27 January was chosen to commemorate the date when the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by the Red Army in 1945. If you visit Krakow, I highly recommend that you include a visit to Auschwitz. It's a sad but moving experience.
