      IVRY   by Patti Smith
I came across this performance via one of mySubstack accounts: Patti Smith singing her song ‘Ivry’ commemorating the death of French writer Antonin Artaud on March 4th 1948. Ivry was the asylum where Artaud spent his last years. While I was listening to it I remembered the story about Artaud’s visit to Ireland which would make a droll film or song.
