I think I'd like to include my friend, Don, in this welcome thread.

Don is an accomplished musician and accousticly friendly sound engineer. He plays the autoharp (better than anyone else I've ever heard), six and twelve string guitar, banjo, (regular and long necked seeger), and an assortment of other things that make strange noises.

Don gives generously of his time, energies, and expertise, whenever there is a musical event in this town, and in several other towns as well. The musical landscape would be very different around here without his input.

Every single musical instrument I own was given to me by Don at some point or another. That includes four recorders, four irish whistles, and my two beloved accordions.

Because we differ so greatly in political terms, as well as in many other ways, I try to make it a point to never engage in any discussions about politics or other social issues with him. That keeps things from getting ugly.

Don has to post as guest because he is only equipped to do his Mudcatting at work, where he is not able to set a cookie. But, although he is not a member, I would like to welcome him anyway.
