ABOUT the pub game of “Puff the Dart” or “Puffing Darts” = Puff the dart was played by blowing small darts through a reed tube at a small target, scored similarly to modern darts. It was already considered old-fashioned by the time David Anderson wrote his poem in 1830.
Has anyone traced the fiddle tune mentioned in Copshawholme Faire, namely, "I Never Will Lie With My Mammy No Mair" ?
