GR ,I used to do the nail repair kit thing myself too. You're talking about the gauze and cyanoacrylate glue? They are NOT dependable if you pick real hard, like it sounds Jed does. I had my index fingernail build-up disintegrate on me on stage at a festival a couple of years back. After that I changed to acrylics and have NEVER had a problem since. Sure, they cost to maintain, but so does your hair and your teeth.
