It's difficult to weigh in on this song. There are so many different so many conflicting viewpoints But I recently heard a version from the band Altan On their the gap of dreams album when I first heard it it was during a live performance. And it is definitely my favorite version. But it is listed as bacach shil andai. It was referred to as a Celtic lullaby. But with a hefty dose of spite included. I am very appreciative for the translations.
