A clarification: The Lipscomb album was issued on a subscription basis - meaning money was collected prior to production to pay for
production, when issued shipped to the subscribers. Not a radio
station subscription.
Similar to the original ORIGIN JAZZ LIBRARY albums (Charley Paton being the first) were also issued on subscription - supposedly limited edition, but that was not honored. This OJL bit has nothing to do with Chris Strachwitz, nor Arhoolie.
