I sing this song in kindergarten in 1973. Of course the year 2000 seemed like make believe at that age. We might as well I’ve been “what will we on ten million years from now m…” As a 5 year old I had no concept I would actually live to see the year 2000. I often wonder if our teacher thought, “I’ll like see see 2000 and so will my students”. Anyway, I’m happy to have found this song - I think of it every now and then as I contemplated plans for 2030, etc. Yikes! I’m going to be around for a while yet. I might see 2050?!?
