With a bit of stretching, you could sing the chorus section of that lyric to the tune of "Everybody Works But Father" -- I'm not sure about the introduction -- but the more interesting thing is the "finnan haddie" rhyme, which Cole Porter borrowed, quite possibly from this song:
If I invite A boy some night To dine on my fine Finnan haddie, I just adore His asking for more, But my heart belongs to daddy.
