Listening to Trump trying to walk back what is in the recording ("I was just waving papers - I had lots of newspapers, and plans for the club") is a clue that his attorneys may have finally gotten through to him - he has to stop saying the papers are his and he has a right to them. That maybe he doesn't have any papers at all (at least not to show to ghost writers).
