Thanks Stilly and Dave. I have USB 3 but I am not sure it would work even with the right adapters. May be worth a punt if they are cheap enough. I have a friend seeing if her Macbook has Thuderbolt 2 ports today. One bonus is that I discovered that my old Lenovo laptop has a mini display port and I can connect it to the TV. Kodi on TV is now a goer :-)
