It's been a couple of months without late nite comedy TV and humor shows like Colbert and Bill Mahre but now with actors joining the writer strikes, the entire entertainment industry is in peril. Being entertained to death isn't good but by not having the pressure valve of comedy nationwide, we could be in danger. Instead it will be competition shows, Trump trials and 24 hour news.

What will take its place of Hollywood are reality shows and streaming European, Chinese and Russian movie studios. Part of the failed negotiations involves AI clones of actors and residuals. Many of the behind the scenes workers can not afford health insurance.
The only movie releases to my knowledge that are allowed to be screened are Oppenheimer and Barbie.

How long the strike will go on is not known and what will fill the void is uncertain.
