Since Jagz (ex-Station pub) closed the building has passed through several hands. It has now reopened branded as Pantiles by a couple who ran a similar venue in Bagshot. Although their typical members are women (75%) aged between 35-55 and their programmes so far is mostly soul DJs , singles and ladies nights, they are having Open Mike nights on a Wednesday. I couldn't go last night but I hope to try it out next week & will report back. They also promise to reopen the restaurant "soon" and, of particular interest to me, may resume Sunday lunchtime jazz.
