THE ROAD TO BARCELONA
25 August 1936 Death of Felicia Browne, the first British volunteer to die in the Spanish Civil War. She was killed in action on the Aragón front near Tardienta while serving as part of a band of raiders attempting to dynamite a Nationalist munitions train.
