OK, since I've already admitted to being a nurd (with all it's spellings) in another thread, I'll tell you about one of my all-time favourite records (probably not on CD...although I wish it was.

Un Bel Dia, from Butterfly. Sung by the incomparable Lucretzia Bori, in 1925. I've got recordings of this by virtually every major soprano, but Miss Bori still makes me cry EVERY time. She didn't have the power, or even the total control of some....but that gal could flat out tell the story!

Returning to folk-world.
