Ar,(our) Sarah's geet a chap
For ' eawer' read 'ower' or 'ar'= our. ( for quicknes of speech when a lot of Lancashire people worked in the cotton mills and other suchlike jobs, they had to speak quickly, and most would use ar for our.
NEVER FORGET the former truism, " England's bread hangs on Lancashire's thread", - and were paid a pittance. My father was running a pair of spinning 'mules, at the age of thirteen. He could, even in those days have gone to university, had his family had the money.( 11 children) both parents died by the time he was 10. He was a mathmatical genious!
