"Father and daughter duo, Ted and Sarah Ponsonby, mark the launch of their album, Brakin’ Trad with a special live performance filmed in Fitz Howard's Guitar Workshop, Letterkenny.
"Ted Ponsonby needs no introduction to Donegal audiences. A songwriter producer and engineer he’s also an acclaimed instrumentalist with acoustic and electric guitars, dobro and Hammond organ in his repertoire. A noted session musician he’s worked with Freddie White, The Henry Girls and Arty McGlynn amongst others as well as a short stint with Van Morrison.
Ted and Sarah are accompanied by Ruairí Friel on acoustic guitar."
-------- ------- ------ The first time I remember meeting Ted was when he operated the sound system for a Derry Anti-Nuclear Group event; I suppose that was in the early 1980s.
