The point about cultism is very valid. We saw it here in the UK with Boris Johnson too. There are still people who believe he was just 'one of the lads'. Sadly Jeremy Corbyn was becoming a bit of a cult amongst left wingers too and, for all he is a decent human being with good policies, he was not a god. Compare how the press treated Johnson and Corbyn and you may see how to stamp out a cult following.
