Oy! I always knew what a davit taykle fall was, but I always sang it "...overhaul on your davit tackle fall..." which makes a sense of its own. One does not "let" a davit tackle fall, but it has been known to happen rthat they have gone ahead sometimes and fallen anyway, usually leaving a bruised skull or chipped toebone in their wake. Can't expect Judy Collins to know anything bout them tayckles anyway.

A
