When I used to perform regularly, usually in a duo, I liked to open with You Ain't Going Nowhere. It was easy to sing, had fairly simple breaks and engaged the audience right off the bat (they'd usually join in on the chorus "Ooo wee riding me high...") and let them know they were in for a good time.
