I'll say it again....you can do acrylic, fiberglass, or silk wraps, and with a good tech, will not harm your nail. but DO keep up with maintenance..that is generally where problems come from. I did this for a living for many years, and never had clients with thinning nails. Also, another easy trick, file your nails straight across. Call it my bookshelf theory: if you nail a piece of 1xanything straight to a wall with no brackets, it breaks. You need supporting sides for strength, if you aren't using artificial enhancers. Oh yeah, remember that the things are quite flammable! A serious problem if building a fire.....
