David Letterman's production company is called Worldwide Pants Inc. Do you reckon there's any connection?

Pants are a good thing. I like pants. So why do we want to use it as a disparaging term? Like some body parts... don't we all appreciate our parts? Why do we use terms for certain body parts to call people names?

(well, someone has to wonder about these things...)
