Fabulous, world-cheering, wonderful news: in Cameroon they're starting the first ever vaccination drive against malaria, a disease that kills 600,000 people a year in Africa, 80% of them children.
This is a world-changing vaccine, comparable to the effect of vaccination and antibiotics against tuberculosis in the 20th century. This, spreading across the continent, could be the first step to prosperity in Africa. God bless its makers.
