I should note that the tune that Rose sings it to isn't the traditional Scottish Highland one - nor the song by Don McClean!

It seems very close, but not identical, to the tune used for Tommy Armstrong's 'The Durham Lockout' - and therefore also 'The Pretoria Pit Disaster', which I posted about yesterday; a pure coincidence that I should have heard this Tony Rose track today, after listening to the Houghton Weavers one just the previous evening.
