keberoxu, the apartment complex you described on 21 Feb 24 - 04:32 PM seems very similar to the retirement village my Grandma lived in when she was about 70, when she decided that her house and big garden was getting too much for her. She was very happy there. She could live independently, do the activities she wanted to do, have meals and some housework provided, make new friends, be involved in group activities or spend time on her own, as she chose. The reviews there were excellent too. She moved to the nursing home complex when she became unwell in her mid '80's and passed away a few years later. We always knew she had chosen an excellent place to live, at every stage of her life needs.
