Cranky Yankee: Irish American with Scots,English and Swis german sprinkled in for good measure in real life. I picked Irish Sergeant as my nom de plume because I am a Civil War re-enactor and I portray a son of Erin who came over to the U.S. to get away from the famine. My rank in our Civil War unit is first sergeant. I was going to respond on the Civil War thread but it seems to have disappeared and this one is still here.
