Just a couple of miles up the road in Prestwich, Dave, are my mum's church and school, Our Lady of Grace. Through-and-through Salford girl was me mum. There are a couple of inviting-looking statues of the Virgin in the church. Instead of the song Ave Maria, the thieves could be thinking "I'm going to 'ave Maria..."
