Three states near me, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Iowa, suffered the worst tornado outbreak in history last Friday, one week ago. 63 tornadoes occurred, although all of those I have heard of have been rather small - EF 3's. One 4, I believe. Not that an EF3 isn't dangerous.

Most of the damage occurred to small towns with working-class houses which were simply smashed to smithereens. Pick-up trucks were tossed about. I believe there were no deaths, wonderfully enough.

Where I live there were thunderstorms and one tornado watch, but most of Missouri was spared. We had a simply beautiful day today, and the DH and I went out when the sun had weakened (5 pm) and planted tomatoes and herbs.
