Mad Rush is making a demo. On it will be some of our own stuff, some trad.songs and some contemporary. Is it OK to add one or two of our favourite songs by other songwriters? i think I read somewhere that it is OK as long as the tapes are not for sale. Also, if you did, say, an Eric Bogle song at a gig, would that be OK. I know people do this sort of thing all the time, and there's lots of advice flying around, but I'm still not clear on the details. It is the venue that has to be paying a license for live performances, isn't it.
