I remember singing this at Carisbrooke Grammar School in the 1960's. (I left in 1967). I remember that Mr Matthews was the music teacher. I seem to remember that he was new to the school and came arouund 1963.I always felt sorry for him having to deal with such an unruly bunch (which we were I suppose)
