We're good Tattie Bogle. My apologies for not being clearer myself, and causing confusion. I wouldn't have known without looking it up how much later the St. James The Great branch came into being, but I did know that the Comhaltas branch created by Jimmy, Ann and some others was older than 35 years. Incidentally, there was a Comhaltas branch in Dundee throughout the early 1990s of which I was a member. I hope the Edinburgh branch can get up and running. I did see it mentioned - possibly by yourself - on "thesession.org". Can't help but wonder what the state of Scottish traditional music might have been today had the TMSA been in receipt of similar funding to that given to Comhaltas over the last 60 years. The same could be said of England and Wales, I suppose. On we go.
