“Lemon Tree" is a folk song written by Will Holt in the late 1950s. Inspired by a Brazilian song, Meu limão meu limoeiro, originally written in 1930.

Peter Paul and Mary recorded it in 1962, but Trini Lopez had a much bigger chart success with it in 1965, and yes, I agree with Keberoxu, Trini’s version did have a Latin rhythm to it.
