from about 11.45 people started yelling & yahooing - then when the fireworks started at midnight yahooing got worse, even after the fireworks finished at 12.15 it continued, but fortunately the noise stopped some time back!
Now a police car is making noise, but it either arrived where it was wanted or continued towards it's destination.
